Sony Introduces the World’s Toughest and Fastest SD Card.

Sony’s brand new innovation in storage media: “SF-G series TOUGH specification” UHS-II SD card. Addressing the needs of photographers who are reliant upon their photographs remaining safe when their SD cards are removed from the camera, the new SF-G series TOUGH specification range combines the world’s fastest read and write speeds with an ultra-rugged design.

Monolithic design SF-G TOUGH innovatively transforms the way SD Cards are being built – thanks to the one molding production process, which makes the card into one piece. This gives the SF-G TOUGH its waterproof rating (IPX8) that allows it to withstand 72 hours under 5 meters depth and its dustproof rating (IP6X) prevents any dust or dirt from entering the card.

Materials Sony engineers have used harder materials to make it 18x stronger than the SD association standard and can withstand 18kg of pressure without bending, which makes it the toughest SD card in the world.

Removal of easy-to-break parts New SF-G TOUGH has no protection lock and is the world’s first ribless card. This protects your card even further by eliminating parts that easily break.

Fastest SD Card in the world SF-G TOUGH is not only the toughest SD card in the world, but also the fastest. With its 300MB/s read speed and 299MB/s write speed, it is the premium choice to fully experience the speed of your camera. This card enables you to enjoy burst shooting at the maximum of your camera possibilities and it is the perfect partner in your 4K video recordings.

Availability: The SF-G TOUGH series of memory cards will be available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities. They will launch in October 2018. Product details are available at http://www.sony.net
