Exhibition of the DVF Portfolio Competition 2016 at photokina in hall 9

The best photographers of the Deutsches Verband für Fotografie e.V. (German Association for Photography/DVF) submitted 28 portfolios to the first ever DVF Portfolio Competition 2016. Together with Manfred Kriegelstein EMDVF/g MFIAP, the jury members Isolde Stein-Leibold MDVF EFIAP/d1, Tanja Zech KDVF MFIAP and Klaus-Peter Selzer EMDVF/s EFIAP confirmed the impressive level of the competition. In the first portfolio competition, the eight to twelve photographs of each respective photographer (passe-partout 50 x 60 cm) on a self-defined theme were to reflect the photographic style and interpretation of the photographer. The five best photographers will be distinguished at photokina, whereby the works of the top three will be prominently exhibited at the world of imaging in Cologne (20 to 25 September 2016). The exhibition opens and the award ceremony will take place on Saturday, 24 September 2016 at 4:00 p.m., in Hall 9. The winning pieces of work were already published in the DVF Journal 6/16. The portfolios that ranked under the top three, which will be exhibited at photokina, were submitted by the following photographers: Heiko Römisch MDVF EFIAP/p, Reinbek, with "Cranes" (8 photos), Ingelore Willing, Fotofreunde Zehlendorf, with "Lissy" (10 photos), Horst Einfinger EFIAP, Belgium, with "Cycle of Darkness and Light" (10 photos). Third and fourth place went to Susanne Jung MFIAP, Fotoclub Tele Freisen, for "Children's Worlds/Soul Worlds" (12 photos) and Anita Reinsch, Brandenburg, for "See (seen) through different eyes" (10 photos) respectively.

On Saturday, the 09.24.2016 at 14:00 o'clock there will be a tribute to the three top ranked of the DVF Portfolio Competition 2016 in the space of their exhibition.
