Everything has changed here.

“Reform and Opening” is not a buzz word for Chinese media to choose in news and events. More and more Chinese corporates are listed on NASDAQ. “Made in China” appears all over the world. Numerous commercials of Chinese products are embedded in Hollywood movies. 46% of the luxuries are purchased by Chinese. The evidence can go on and on. It is like a science fiction by Frederick Pohl, that features all Chinese people. Together, they push the narrative towards a more peculiar direction, and gradually form a new image of China, that the world is not familiar with anymore.

The exhibition was anextension of a project that encourage independent photography by fengniao.com. The goal is to discover more young Chinese photographers, and collaborate on new photography works.  The exhibition consisted 16 sets of project, including a series of selfies and some daily objects of the photographed. They are small groups and communities, yet faithfully represent the face of the rapidly changing China.

There also was an interactive wall in the exhibition. Visitors could have left their perception of China, Chinese people, or even a selfie on the wall.
