Welcome to Cologne!

Arrival

Thanks to its central and convenient location in Europe, visitors can reach Koelnmesse quickly by car, train, airplane and public transport from many cities in Germany and abroad. This page also informs you about all relevant details concerning road traffic around the fair grounds.

All information is summarised in a PDF.

Tips and notes on arrival

Arrival by car

Ten motorways are linked with the motorway ring around Cologne. This leads you directly to the fair grounds without being held up by crossroads or traffic lights. Simply follow the green "Koelnmesse" signs.

There are approximately 14,500 car parking spaces on the fair grounds. The respective trade fair will be displayed to the visitors in the dynamic display field on the signposts. Arrows will show the way to the nearest car park. The car parks are optimally connected to our entrances. You can reach the exhibition halls by foot or using the free shuttle buses.

Note regarding the environmental zone.
The majority of the city area of Cologne is an environmental zone, into which only vehicles of pollutant groups 4 with a corresponding green environmental sticker have been able to enter since July 2013. The entrance to Koelnmesse, however, is also secured for all vehicles without stickers. Please find the entrance route without sticker in the arrival map (.pdf) .

Trade fair participants from Germany and abroad with the correspondingly equipped vehicles can receive the environmental stickers from www.umwelt-plakette.de (only in German language)
